Ajay B Pradhanang
Trained as an Engineer, Ajay believes in Nepal’s competitive advantage in the herbal and agricultural sectors. His company, Fleur Himalayan Limited aims to pioneer the efforts to popularize herbal resources, traditional medicines, and hygienic products by blending these natural resources and traditional knowledge with modern technology. Anand recognizes agro-based industries as game-changers for Nepal’s economy. NIMBUS, the company he founded, is the largest animal feed manufacturer in Nepal. His company has already made a substantial contribution to the earning capacities of tens of thousands of rural Nepali families by enabling them to get better yields from their domesticated animals and birds. Besides being actively involved in an agribusiness sector, he has diversified his business interests into poly-woven fabric production, chemical processing, grain trading, solvent extraction, and animal health and nutrition.
Dileep is a pioneer in Nepal’s IT industry. He founded WorldLink, which is Nepal’s largest Internet service provider (ISP) in 1995. His company now employs over 600 people throughout the country and has moved beyond being an ISP to become one of the largest IT service providers in Nepal. Dileep has co-founded several companies and non-profit organizations, and serves on their boards. He is a graduate of Bates College in the US.
Niranjan is a second-generation entrepreneur. He is the Executive Director at Laxmi Group, which is a major player in the confectioneries and dairy sector with firms like Sujal Foods, Jaya Confectioneries, Sujal Dairy, Sujal Plastics and Jaya Packaging. Laxmi Group is also the sole distributor of Hyundai Motors in Nepal. Niranjan is also a Director at Om Finance and is currently the President of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum.
Ranjit is known as the guru of advertising. He is the owner and CEO of Prisma Advertising, a leading marketing firm, providing communication solutions to a plethora of national and international brands. Ranjit is also the Chairperson at Bridgewater Education and Research Foundation, the Managing Director of Neel Barahi Films Pvt. Ltd., and a Director at Media Hub Pvt. Ltd. Apart from being a businessman, he has also shown his flair as a director, a lyricist, and a motivational speaker.
Samir is an Entrepreneur who has been working in the Hospitality Industry for the last 15 years. He has international exposure in terms of Academic achievement and Professional experience in his field. He presently serves as an Executive Chairman of Silver Mountain Group. He was the first Certified Hospitality Educator of Nepal. Samir is the Founding Partner & Director of American Hospitality Academy of USA which has Seven Hotel Management Schools running in USA, Nepal, South Africa, Philippines, Turkey, India and Bhutan. He is currently working on his PHD in Hotel Management from India. He has been a visiting faculty at Stenden University in Netherlands, City of London College in United Kingdom and Asian Center for Professional Education in Singapore. He is also the Immediate Past President at Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum.
Sanjay is a Director at the Golchha Organization, which is one of Nepal’s leading business organizations that owns and manages over 35 companies in sectors ranging from manufacturing, trading, marketing, information technology, banking and financial services, real estate, and tourism. He is the Founder and Managing Director for Neoteric Nepal, which represents companies such as Nokia, Samsung, AMD, Apple, Logitech, Cisco, Moser Baer, and UMAX to name a few. He is also the Managing Director of IT Nepal, which is a leading software services and consultancy company representing companies like Wipro, IFS, Tally, and Nucleus. Apart from his professional commitments, Sanjay is the Vice-Chairman of the Himalayan Climate Initiative, an NGO co-founded by fourteen prominent Nepali citizens to build inclusiveness and climate resilience in Nepali society and economy. Being an entrepreneur he aims to bring sustainability as a pre-condition for all social initiatives as well. Sanjay is also a Founder Member and Past President Entrepreneurs’ Organization Nepal. Sanjay is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Finaccess Pvt. Ltd., whose core platform is Hello Paisa, a shared access Mobile Financial Services (MFS) hub. The Hello Paisa addresses issues related to financial access and inclusion. Sanjay is also The Chairman and Director at NLG Insurance Company Ltd. Sanjib has been involved with the IT industry from the mid-1980’s and has been instrumental in introducing IT and Internet to Nepal. Under the Mercantile Group of Companies, he has pioneered many ventures in Nepal, several of which are the most established IT and communications companies in the country today. Incessant Rain, a company he founded, is now providing world-class animation services for some of the world’s largest media and entertainment companies. He is also involved in the development financial technology, hydro energy, and online media along with influential local and foreign partners.
Suman has intimate knowledge of commercial and investment banking having started his career in this sector in 1990. Having worked in various international and national banks in India and Nepal including, he was the founding CEO of Laxmi Bank and completed 3 consecutive tenures during which he conceived, managed; and scaled various projects and subsidiaries for the bank. Suman is widely regarded as one of the most innovative and creative banking experts in Nepal. He has been credited with the launch of the first mobile payment system in Nepal and also cofounded Finaccess, owner of Hello Paisa: an interoperable mobile payments platform. He received his education on Private Equity & Venture Capital from Harvard Business School. Specializing in areas such as Strategic Planning, Credit Risk Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Corporate Governance, Fund Management, and Mobile Financial Services, Suman is constantly looking to push boundaries of the existing financial and entrepreneurial sector landscape in Nepal.
Udeep is an Executive director at Panchakanya Group, one of the largest construction material manufacturers in the country, with a wide array of products such as steel, plastics, ready-mix concrete etc. He completed his master’s degree from Singapore Management University, and firmly believes in the need for innovative construction materials and technologies especially for a country like Nepal where he sees a huge scope in infrastructural development. He played a key role in the introduction of light gauge steel framing technology in Nepal which has been an effective solution for post-earthquake reconstruction in the country. He is also actively involved in trading primarily in automobiles and heavy equipment’s and is an executive committee member of Nepal young Entrepreneurs’ forum.
Varun is the Executive Director of Lohia Group of Companies. The group has been involved in various manufacturing and trading activities for over a century. At the moment, Lohia Group manufactures and imports a wide range of FMCGs through their companies: Aarti Soap & Chemical Ind. Pvt. Ltd., Aarti Vegetable Products Pvt. Ltd., and LG International Trading Co. Pvt. Ltd. Varun completed his schooling from Welham Boy’s School, India and his graduation from Hansraj College, New Delhi. He finished his MBA in finance from Kathmandu University School of Management. He is also the founder member of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) and currently is its Vice President.
Abhaya is the Founder of Biz Serve, a company providing consulting services to businesses in the area of Foreign Direct Investment Facilitation, Business and Tax Advisory, Financial Management, Back office Accounting and IT Security. A Chartered Accountant and Information System Auditor (IAS) by profession, he has over 9 years of experience in undertaking audits and assurance, business advisory and consultancy services. He holds the experience of working as the Head of Accounts and Banking Operations Department for Nepal SBI Bank Limited and has also worked in CSC Co. Chartered Accountants, a cooperative firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
Ajay is the Chairman and Managing Director of iCapital, which is an investment and holding company that invests in the Nepalese stock market and Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs). It has the vision to become a pioneer investment and holding company with profitable investments in all sectors of the economy. Ajay completed his BBA and Masters in Management with a specialization in finance from Kathmandu University. Amongst his other initiatives, he serves as a Director at Kaffeine Foods Pvt. Ltd., which runs a chain of coffee shops around Kathmandu, and as a Director at Source Code Pvt. Ltd., which is an IT company focused in developing products for the financial sector.
After his undergraduate studies at Tufts University in the US, Amod started his career at Bloomberg News in New York. He then came back to Nepal in 2009 and joined Ace Development Bank as a Credit Analyst. In 2012 Amod obtained his MBA at the Said Business School at the University of Oxford. Amod then joined InfraCo Asia in Singapore to work on infrastructure projects in emerging countries in South and South-East Asia. Anup has a practicing experience of more than 12 years in commercial law. He regularly advises clients on diverse transactional matters ranging from foreign investment, project finance to private equity. He is also involved in commercial litigation on behalf of various local and international clients. Anup has also been involved in legal reform projects covering banking and finance, corporate, insolvency and hydropower laws. He is a Licensed Advocate of Nepal Bar Council. Anup specializes in financial laws, foreign investment, private equity and capital markets. Arpan is the Investment Manager at True North Associates (TNA). He completed his Bachelors in Business Administration from Kathmandu University and has also completed all three levels of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams from India. He has experience of working in JP Morgan, Centralized Research Group, Mumbai, in the Diversified Industrials and Transportation team, and is also the founder of two quick service restaurants, Royal Rolls and Roasted Beans Coffee.
Ashesh is the Proprietor of Ashesh & Company, which is a financial consultancy, advisory, and auditing firm. He has a degree in Chartered Accountancy from the highly renowned Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His extensive track record involves catering financial advisory services to large corporates like Ncell Pvt. Ltd. and Kantipur Television Networks and due diligence services to Raymond Steels in India, Grande International Hospital, and STM Telecom Sanchar. Besides that, he has also overseen audits of multinational firms such as Pepsi Co. India, Siemens India, Elbe Airlines, and DHL to name a few. Bibhusan Bista is the CEO and co-founder of YoungInnovations, which is a company that he has led from a small start-up in 2009 to a leading IT company in Nepal with a global clientele. His background is in technology, research, and international development, and, he has led successful projects around open data, transparency, accountability, and other development issues in collaboration with different national and international agencies. Bibhusan is also an active member of International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Technical Advisory Group and has been part of other similar initiatives at the international level. He has been actively involved in facilitating tech entrepreneurship development in Nepal with initiatives like MobileNepal, NCell App Camp, and NASA Space App Challenge to name a few. Bibhusan is often found speaking in different international conferences and events on the use of technology to solve social development issues.
Bishal is the founder of Health at Home Pvt. Ltd., Nepal’s first home-based health care service organization specializing in out of hospital healthcare management for individuals. In 2012, he was one of the recipients of Surya Nepal Asha Social Entrepreneurship Award, which recognizes Nepalese social entrepreneurs who create value for the People, Planet and Profit. Bishal is an avid entrepreneur with few other start-ups and regularly mentors in Nepali start-up ecosystem. He is also active in grassroots enterprise activism and sees great future in entrepreneurship and business practice. Bishal is a member of NYEF and also has a charity organization called health at home foundation which is very active in health charity and relief works. Currently working in the capacity as Head of Operations and Service Excellence at Laxmi Bank, Euden brings with her over 20 years of knowledge and experience in banking having had a decade-long stint each at Standard Chartered Bank Nepal and Laxmi Bank. Euden is a Certified Trainer and NLP Practitioner with additional Diploma in Marketing of Services from Maastricht, Netherlands and Quality Control Management from Yokohama, Japan. She has been involved with several training institutes in the country developing and facilitating sessions on soft skills for various service providers across the country. She has vast training delivery and facilitation experience as well as profound knowledge of Customer Service procedures. Mahesh is a committed entrepreneur. He has been promoting sustainable entrepreneurship in Nepal for the last 16 years. She handles media relations, communications strategy, and risk communications training for clients in sectors including aviation, hydropower, tourism, investments, climate reform, healthcare, telecommunications, automobiles, and banking. Manish is the General Manager of FACTS Research & Analytics. He is also involved in Samriddhi- The Prosperity Foundation, as the Director of Coalitions and Relations and in LEAD International as the Director of Marketing and Relations. He is also the Co – Founder of Hridaya Group and nepalifootball.com. His academic experience lies in Marketing, Advertising, Service Marketing and Political Science, and also carries multiple experiences of working with international companies such as JWT Worldwide and MoneyPlay LLC. He is also a columnist for Himal Khabar Patrika and Nepali Times, and also runs a weekly TV show on Avenues Television.
Nishant, has been in the Mall Management business for more than a decade. His company Avid Investment and Services currently controls 90% of the Mall management business in Nepal. Besides Mall management, he is now involved in establishing many Indian and multinational brands in Nepal and India. Nishant is also the Director of Aviva Creation Pvt. Ltd. an IT outsourcing, design and development company in Kathmandu, Nepal, he is also the director of Ad-Venture an advertising agency based in Kathmandu, Nepal, Marketing Director of Nepal Eyecare Center, Pokhara, Nepal and a member of Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum. Pranisha is the Head of SME at NMB Bank. She started her banking career in 2008 from Standard Chartered Bank Limited soon after her graduation from Kathmandu University. She possesses comprehensive knowledge and experience in the banking sector, having worked in the Merchant as well as Retail Assets and Liability departments. She’s also held positions as the Corporate Relationship Manager – SME and Branch Manager for NMB Bank.
Ravi is the Relationship Manager at Laxmi Bank. He is also a coach and an avid toastmaster. He is a charter president of Toastmasters Club. Toastmasters clubs are part of Toastmasters International which is dedicated to helping people develop their public speaking and leadership skills. Mr. Mainali holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). He has extensive experience with teaching, mentoring and developing people to become more confident speakers.
Samit Raj Shilakar
Samit has over eight years of experience in the banking sector. He has worked in some of the leading commercial banks of Nepal namely Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited and other ‘A’ Class Commercial Banks. He has sound knowledge and experience on Trade Operations, Credit Relationship, and Credit Risk. Currently, he is a Senior Credit Risk Analyst with one of the leading commercial bank in Nepal. He is also the Managing Director of Newakar Enterprise Pvt. Ltd. and looks after the company’s strategy, finance, marketing, and relationship building. Samit has a Masters in Management from Kathmandu University.
Vidhan finished his Bachelors in Business Management and Economics in 2008 from Hope College in Michigan, USA. He then worked at Whittaker Associates, Inc., which is a market research firm, to develop a partnership with several state and local economic development agencies to provide guidance and support to SMEs on issues of employment generation. He then subsequently established a research division for Whittaker Associates in Nepal in October 2010. In July 2011, Vidhan founded Biruwa Ventures to support aspiring entrepreneurs fulfill their dreams of starting their own ventures. At Biruwa, Vidhan is responsible of setting the vision and direction for the company. He also leads the company’s serviced office space division. Through Biruwa, Vidhan has mentored over 200 entrepreneurs and invested in four startups.
An alumnus of IBM, Wipro Technologies and Accenture spanning 12+ years of work experience as a Principal Consultant & Solution Architect in India and Australia, Zaffar Naik now heads ‘First Avocado’ – a management consulting boutique in Kathmandu that specializes in Service Design and People Enablement. His expertise lies at the crossroads of people, process and tools with Management Science at the backdrop. Zaffar brings with him a rich experience from multiple transformation projects involving Fortune 500 companies across consulting and advisory programs. He is also a part time educator and Corporate Trainer. Zaffar has his undergraduate degree in Information Systems from Delhi University and Executive MBA from Symbiosis, Pune.

Sohan Babu Khatri
Mr. Sohan Babu Khatri, founder and CEO of Three H Management, a professional service organization. He is an all-rounder with experience ranging across the cross-section of industries and sectors in Nepal as a corporate business consultant and resource person for training and development. Ms. Mathema is the Co- Founder and Managing Director of Blitz Media, a leading advertising and research agency in Nepal. Juna has overseen more than 200 research projects covering issues of health, education, water and politics. She is an MBA Graduate with a Master’s degree in Sociology. Dip Prakash Panday
Mr. Pandey is a veteran in the Insurance Sector in Nepal with more than two decades of experience. He currently serves as the CEO of Shikhar Insurance. Before joining Shikhar Insurance he had served as the General Manager at Everest Insurance for around ten years.
